Overview

A Single Standard Across Every Surface

Whether the project is a single patio or a multi-room outdoor estate, every square foot of hardscape we install rests on the same base assembly: 12 inches of compacted aggregate over geotextile, with engineered drainage and concealed edge restraint. Pavers, slabs, and stone are hand-laid and cut on site.

  • Patios, walkways, and pool decks

Coordinated palettes across every surface so the property reads as one design.

  • Walls, columns, and pilasters

Dry-stacked or mortared stone with reinforced cores engineered for the structural load.

  • Fire features and water elements

Integrated fireplaces, fire bowls, water walls, and basins as part of the master plan.

What's Included

Engineered Base Assembly

12-inch compacted aggregate base with geotextile separation and engineered drainage.

On-Site Stone Cutting

Wet-saw cuts for radii, edge details, and inlays — no machine-set installations.

Concealed Edge Restraint

Hidden concrete or steel edging that locks the field for decades.

Polymeric Joint Sealing

High-grade joint sand stabilized against weeds, ants, and erosion.

Drainage Engineering

Surface pitch, French drains, and tie-ins designed before excavation.

Multi-Quarry Sourcing

Direct relationships with three quarries to source the cuts and colors that distinguish luxury work.

Our Approach

How a Hardscape Project Runs

  1. 01

    Site Walk & Master Plan

    Weeks 1–2

Topography survey, drainage analysis, and a CAD master plan integrating every hardscape surface.

  2. 02

    Material Selection

    Week 3

On-site sample boards across stone, color, finish, and pattern — no showrooms, no guessing.

  3. 03

    Base & Structural Work

    Weeks 4–6

Excavation, base assembly, and any structural footings or wall reinforcement completed first.

  4. 04

    Stone Installation

    Weeks 7–10

Hand-laid pavers, slabs, and detail work — cut on site for pattern accuracy.

  5. 05

    Sealing & Walkthrough

    Week 11

Polymeric sand applied, optional sealer coat, final walkthrough with care instructions.

Common Questions

Hardscapes, Answered

Can you tie new work into an existing patio?

Yes — and we will assess whether the existing base meets our standard before tying in. If it doesn’t, we recommend the scope of base replacement up front so the work doesn’t fail at the seam in five years.

How long does sealed stone last?

Properly engineered installations regularly exceed 50 years of service. Sealer coatings re-apply on a 5–7 year cycle and are part of our maintenance package.

Will pavers settle or shift?

Settlement is a base-preparation failure, not a paver problem. Our 12-inch compacted base, geotextile separation, and engineered drainage eliminate the conditions that cause heave. We warranty against settlement for 10 years.

Do you do natural stone or only manufactured?

Both. We carry direct relationships with three quarries for natural stone and partnerships with the top three manufactured-paver brands. Selection is driven by the design, not what’s in stock.
